catastrophic failure
so my track bike, aka my work bike, the red de bernardi that I raced all over this city and portland and new york, it suffered a grim demise yesterday, so young, too soon. what was a small ripple on the underside of the downtube near the lug turned into a massive crack extending nearly all the way through the tube. carried it over to the Freewheel bike shop on Hayes, and the guy there is gonna try to warranty it, but i'm not getting my hopes up. looks like i'm in the market for a new work bike.
