Damn, semester´s flying by. Right now I´m in a kind of second midterms week, all sorts of reading a papers due. Today I get to write a shitty economics paper for my retarded economics class as a punishment for my shitty economics professor because the poor bastard has to read it. All this done here in a couple hours so I can make it back home in time to watch Manchester and Arsenal in the premier league. Does that mean anything to anyone?
Santiago´s finally starting to turn cold. I was stoked as fuck this morning to see clouds in the sky and with how it´s looking now it might even rain. they tell me that this summer has lasted unusually long compared to years passed and that the winter´ll probably be pretty mild since last year´s was so strong.
I saw a terrible metal band play three songs last Friday, great fucking night out. I got there early and sat down at the bar talking to the bartender while the place was still empty. I turned around eventually because I was suspicious as to why the dj played 4 misfits songs in a row and was now blasting ac/dc and was confronted with the terrifying sight of a room full of metalheads. I started counting metallica t shirts and after I got to five I decided I´d be justified in forcing myself through no more than three songs before getting the hell out of there. Dirty metal hessians, like the inbred children of hippies spending too much time sniffing glue and passing out to Black Sabbath. Actually, they´re not that bad. It´s just that their music tends to suck ass.
Somewhere I got the idea of hosting a vegetarian barbeque at my house in a couple weeks and before I could think better of it I posted a sign up sheet in the office at school. It´ll be fun, as long as I can somehow con or bribe Andrea into doing most of the cooking.
In a sad note my favorite music website tells me that Jeremiah Green has left Modest Mouse to play in that shitty pop band that opened for Modest Mouse when I saw them in Chico last August. They´re still gonna record more music, it just won´t be the same without his bad ass rhythm. And check this out: The Breeders are playing down here in Santiago on the first of May. I never really got into them but just the chance of seeing Kim Deal play live is worth the ticket price for me and Vince. Okay, before I start babbling I´m gonna cut this off and write this shit paper, wish me luck.
