I landed an hour or so ago and dicked around at the airport for a while, running to the atm machine and the currency exchange office because gringos like me have to pay 100 dollars just to enter Chile. how retarded is that. well, chileans have to pay the same to get a US visa, so i guess it makes sense. kinda. anyway, it´s 5:30 in the morning and I´m all checked in at a hostel close to the university, now I get to try to fall asleep before the sun comes up and renders my efforts futile. from the cab ride this town looks cool, lets hope for beans and rice somewhere tomorrow.
