Out on the weekend

Today was busy. I cruised down to San Jose and later San Pedro, spoke to a couple travel agencies about plane tickets to Santiago. For no other reason than because Iīm a student I can save 200 bucks round trip on Copa airlines, if I donīt find anything cheaper online Iīm probably gonna go with that. Thereīs this rad used bookstore in San Jose that I frequent and today I came home with Sons and Lovers by DH Lawrence, Iīm promising myself that itīll be the last book in English that Iīll read until I get back to the states. In a cd store I came across Harvest by Neil Young, something Iīve been looking for for a while now, man oh man what a great record. I feel the same way with Neil Young that I did when I first started listening to Joy Division, like I should have started listening to both of them way younger, but thatīs okay.
Schoolīs in a mad rush to end. I think my last final is next Tuesday and the first batch of kids go home the following Thursday. Iīve made lots of friends, which means lots of floors to sleep on when I travel around the US. Iīll see a bunch of people at the airport on the 12th as they board that flight to LA and then home as I hop on the plane for La Habana. Dan says weīve already got a place to stay, and the same might be true when I land in Santiago in January, so thanks to all you for looking out for lil stevie.
Nicaragua is definitely happening this weekend. The bus leaves out of San Jose at 12:30 on Thursday afternoon, and nine some odd hours later Iīll be in Nicaragua. It sounds shite, but after a while these buses are cake. I canīt wait to see the lake and the town on the island in the middle of the lake, itīs supposed to be pretty amazing.
